Michael LOFTHOUSE was born on October 5, 1967, in Newport Beach, California, USA. He is the son of Barbara and Robert LOFTHOUSE. He has two brothers, Robert and Christopher. His mother is from Orange County, California, and his father is from England. Michael was raised in Orange County, California. He attended public schools and graduated from University High School in Irvine, California, in 1985. He then attended the University of Southern California, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1989.
After graduation, Michael began his career in the financial services industry, working for several investment banks in Los Angeles and New York. In 1995, he co-founded a financial services firm, which he later sold in 2000. In 2001, he co-founded another financial services firm, which he also sold in 2007.
In 2008, Michael co-founded a private equity firm, which he currently manages. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of a number of private companies.

5. Michael LOFTHOUSE: His Legacy
Michael LOFTHOUSE was an accomplished businessman, philanthropist, and community leader. He was born in England in 1854 and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1858. The family eventually settled in Hamilton, Ontario, where Michael attended local schools. He began his career as a clerk in a local mercantile establishment. In 1877, he went into business for himself, opening a small general store.
Michael LOFTHOUSE was a man of vision and determination. He quickly recognized the potential of the city of Hamilton and the surrounding area, and set about making his mark on the community. In the 1880s, he helped to establish the Hamilton Street Railway Company and the Hamilton Waterworks Company. He was also instrumental in the development of the city’s first hydroelectric power plant.
Michael LOFTHOUSE was a generous man, and gave back to the community in many ways. He was a major contributor to the Hamilton General Hospital and the Hamilton Humane Society. He also helped to establish the Hamilton Civic Museum.
